How to shop

Shopping at PartsAmerica.com is easy!

1. Find the parts you need quickly

Search by keyword or part number - Enter your term(s) or part number in the Search box at the top of the site and we'll do the rest. You'll see your results in a single, easy to browse page and we'll even put the most popular at the top so you can get what you need faster.

Browse by category – Don’t know exactly what you need or just want to look around? We have put thousands of parts into easy-to-browse groups and included links to them on the left side of our Homepage and on the left side of each shopping page. Easily locate everything from air filters to t-shirts.

2. Enter your vehicle information

For some products, we need to know what car or truck they should fit. If you are already logged in, we’ll get this info from your selected vehicle. To change the selected vehicle, just click on the "Change" link next to it. If you’re not logged in, we’ll ask you for the year, make, model, and (if necessary) the engine size of your car or truck. If it’s requested, please be sure to enter the correct engine size. It may not seem important but it can make the difference between getting the job done quickly and returning a part that doesn’t fit.

3. Add items to your Shopping Cart

Just look for the "Buy" or "Add to Cart" buttons – click them and we’ll put the product in your basket. The shopping cart will appear with the item you have selected and any other products already added.

Change quantities by entering the number you want and clicking "Update" or remove items by clicking the trash can button. Use the links or search boxes on the left of the page to continue shopping.

4. Login

If you are not already logged in, we’ll ask you to enter your email address and password here. If you don't have an account, create one quickly with just your name and email address.

5. Check availability and select a delivery method

From the Shopping Cart, click the "Check Out" button and we'll look for your items in our stores and warehouses near you. We'll show you available shipping options and stores that have all of your items in stock.

Shipping - We'll list the services that are available and the charge for each. If your items are in stock, we will also display estimated shipment and delivery dates; special order parts ship as they are available, usually within 5 days. Some or all shipping services may be unavailable for certain restricted items, see our Shipping Policy for details.

Store Pick up - Any store that has all of your parts in stock will be shown here with details about its location and an estimated distance from you in miles.

You may pick parts up from multiple stores and have some products shipped by selecting "I want to specify delivery options for each part individually" and clicking "Continue".

Combining Shipping and Pick up - Our Choose Delivery Options page lets you select shipping or pick up for each item in your cart. Numbered columns on the parts list match store locations listed below. Check one box for each item or select "Delete" to remove a part from your list. Click "Submit & Continue" once you have finished and, if necessary, select a shipping service on the following page.

6. Select shipping, billing and payment information

If you are creating a new account, enter your shipping and billing addresses here along with your card information. If you’re already registered, select the shipping address and payment method you prefer. We can ship to all U.S. states, territories, and APO/FPO addresses. You may modify any of your billing, shipping, or payment information on these pages also.

7. Review your order

OK, you’re almost finished. Confirm that the parts and quantities listed are correct and that the delivery method(s) you selected are shown. In cases where we are required to collect sales taxes, you will also see a tax amount. If everything is correct, click "Finish Order" to get your receipt confirmation and order number. You should also receive an email receipt shortly after the order is placed. Please contact Customer Service if it does not arrive.

8. Order Processing

Our warehouses and stores will process your order as quickly as possible. If you select store pick-up, please allow 1 hour for processing. In the unlikely event that a part is delayed or unavailable, we will contact you via email. Also, when any part of your order is shipped we will send you an email with the shipment details and estimated delivery date. For store pick-up items, you will receive an email receipt once they are picked up.

9. Returns

If you need to return or exchange your parts for any reason, you can either take the items to a store near you or ship them back to us. Please refer to our Return and Warranty policies for details and instructions.
